Our Design Methodology

Design Standards

We select internationally accepted design standards depending on the Country, Terrain, Applicability to the particular project and the Nature of the project. We have expertise on following design standards 1. British Standards - Steel, Concrete, Buildings, Bridge design 2. Eurocode- Steel, Concrete , Bridge design, Seismic Analysis, Performance based Design 3. IS Codes - Steel, Concrete , Bridges, Seismic Action 4. AS-NZ Code- Steel, Concrete , Wind Action, Seismic Actions 5. AISC, ASCE, ACI, AASHTO LRFD- Steel, Concrete, Bridges, Performance based design, CFRP, 6. Eurocode SL annex- Water retaining Structures, Seismic Action

Structural Analysis

We always motivate our Engineers to analysis stability and internal actions of structures manually using fundamentals . This help them to understand the probable failure modes of structure and select more robust force distribution When structure is too complicated and consideration of dynamic effect and nonlinear behavior is necessary we use following FE software MIDAS GEN MIDAS FX+ MIDAS Civil MIDAS SET MIDAS Design+ Response 2000 Membrain 2000 Opensees

Evaluation of Robustness of Structure

Understanding the most robust force distribution of a structue is the 1st task of starting a structural design. Key elements of structure are identified and ensure necessory ductility of elements.

Faliure Modes of Structures

Identification of probable failure modes is done at the initial stage of structural design. Engineers are always motivated to understand most preferable and safe failure criteria of structure. Stiffness of structural elements and redundancy of structural elements are distributed to ensure the safety in ultimate action due to natural disaster

Quality Assurence

Structural design in our office is always a 2way process. Structural designers set assumptions and design criteria together with inhouse design checker assigned to the project. All Design Calculations and Drawings are checked and confirmed by the inhouse design checkers of the project. Final documents are sealed as Good for Construction after all above procedures.

Design Managment

Senior Engineer who is responsible for the delivery of the project or a director of company always attend to progress review meetings with clients. Progress of projects and the quality of the deliverables are evaluated Weekly internal progress review meetings. Online monitoring of design progress is done.
